Wendy House Installation and Maintenance

 

 

General:

 

•The Wendy house sizes are nominal and measured on the dimension(s) of the roof.
•Windows with standard dimension will be fitted. Quantity and size of windows dependent on size of Wendy House.  (Standard Glazing Included)
•Roof overhang – 1.8 m wall equals 150 mm.
•A 700mm x 1700mm door will be fitted.
•The Wendy House will be fitted with a corrugated iron roof.
•Roof will be painted with galvanising primer, and two coats of roof paint.
•The roof painting must be repeated annually.
•All Wendy Houses will be treated with wood sealant.
•This wood treatment must be repeated annually.
•The Wendy house is made from tongue in groove, dried pine, graded S5 that is machined to a +- 15mm tongue in groove plank.
•Quality ringshank nails are used on the panels.

Site preparation before the erection of the Wendy House:

 

•A minimum of 500 mm of working space around the Wendy House is required.

•The ground surface where the Wendy House is to be erected must be reasonably flat and compacted.

•We will supply landscaping cloth and a covering of 19mm crushed stone under the Wendy House. This is to prevent weeds and undergrowth.

•We will not accept responsibility if the Wendy House does not fit into the terrain appointed by the client, nor will we accept responsibility if the terrain is not suitable            for the erection of the Wendy ordered.

•The terrain identified for erection of the Wendy must be unobstructed.

•The position where the Wendy is to be erected must comply with Municipal Regulations and By-Laws. This is entirely the responsibility of the client (owner of the                  property).

Warranty:

 

In order to qualify for the 10 year warranty against collapse, the following terms and conditions apply:

·         The Wendy House carries a ten-year construction guarantee against collapse; subject to the maintenance of the Wendy:

o   proper treatment of your wood structure within three weeks of installation,

o   thereafter a yearly treatment, as specified, with an exterior wood sealant.

o   All roofs must be painted with two (2) coats of roof paint and repeated yearly.

·         The swelling of doors and windows are not covered.

·         The warranty does not cover “Acts of God”.

·         Weeds and undergrowth under the Wendy House will void the warranty.

·         Pooling of water around foundations will void the warranty.

·         Modifications to, and subsequent damages to the Wendy House will not be covered by this warranty.
